Today was a shopping day in Milano. Success. We then went to a shopping centre called la Rinascente to get our tax refund but not successful. However we did see this centre which again was all designer and expensive. The really bad news is that the sales I was expecting are over and there is virtually nothing left. Only stuff around is mainly summer with normal to extravagant pricing. Very disappointing.

this building is one of the oldest left in Milan from the Renaissance. Most buildings of this vintage were bombed in the war.
this is inside the Renaissance building which has a fairly boring façade but amazing courtyard. Many buildings in Milan and other Italian cities have these amazing courtyards and lives within. A different world.

While one of us shopped, the other walked to the Palestro which is a garden with a beautiful castle /thing in the middle. (He got lost.)
