Milan-San Babila found

15/5
Our  second day in Milan and we get into the apartment early and do our washing.
(Quick aside:The washing machine was a front loader (I am haunted) and took two phone calls to get it to work. hat those things.

We are staying in the Piazza of San Babilo, in an apartment above the Piazza. A good spot when we found it.  We are really close to more shops and the centre of Milan.

We visit the Duomo which is quite amazing. There is a lift that takes you part of the way to make it easier. I like Milan.

The Duomo

Right near the Duomo, is la galleteria, which has really expensive shops but is pretty beautiful.

These jewelled shoes cost thousands of euro.

Le Scala by contrast was pretty ordinary.

That evening we had dinner at a restaurant called Bagutta something from Trip Advisor. Sounded great and was really expensive.  Amazing with interesting art work all over it.
